Studio 34 MARKET
BUY, SELL, TRADE.
On March 22, 2025, we hosted STUDIO 34 MARKET, a spring flea market at the studio beneath Namsan that was then yfactorial’s office and is now home to OTP. Under the invitation “BUY, SELL, TRADE,” six sellers shared their tastes through a selection spanning branded products, clothing from their own wardrobes, high-end vintage, books, and artworks. Cherished clothes, handmade pieces, and objects reflecting personal taste—browsing someone’s belongings can be a way of getting to know them.
2025년 3월 22일, 기존 yfactorial의 사무실이자, 지금은 OTP의 공간이 된 남산 아래 스튜디오에서 봄맞이 플리마켓 STUDIO 34 MARKET을 진행했습니다. “BUY, SELL, TRADE”라는 초대 아래 여섯 명의 셀러가 브랜드 제품부터 개인 소장 의류, 하이엔드 빈티지, 서적과 작품까지 각자의 취향을 펼쳐놓았습니다. 옷장 속 아끼던 옷, 직접 만든 물건, 취향이 담긴 오브제들. 어떤 사람이 사용하던 물건을 구경하는 일은 그 사람을 알아가는 계기가 되기도 하지요.
On the ground floor of OTP’s studio, a large window faces the road leading up to Namsan. In spring, sunlight streams through it, framing a view of the ivy-covered stone wall along the walking trail. We wanted to throw that window wide open and create a market where people and their animal companions could gather, relax, eat, play, and catch up. It would also be the grand debut of TEAM TyCoooN, with whom we would go on to dream up all sorts of projects, big and small.
OTP의 스튜디오 1층에는 남산길을 향해 난 큰 창문이 있습니다. 봄에는 유독 창밖으로 비치는 햇살이 따뜻하고, 담쟁이 덩굴로 푸르게 가득 덮인 남산 둘레길의 돌벽이 보인답니다. 제가 가장 좋아하는 계절의 한 장면이에요. 이 창문을 활짝 열고, 사람들과 동물들이 모여 쉬고, 먹고, 놀고, 오랜만에 만나 이야기를 나눌 수 있는 마켓을 만들고 싶었습니다. 후일 여러 크고 작은 일을 함께 도모하게 될 TEAM TyCoooN의 화려한 데뷔도 계획되어 있었고요.
TyCoooN, who take their tacos very seriously, served three kinds on freshly made tortillas, along with chips. Thanks to our connection with Yoonsu, Cass generously sponsored the beer. In the afternoon, tjr3164, WOOJAE, and CHAMBER took turns on the decks.
타코에 진심인 TyCoooN이 직접 구운 또르띠야를 사용한 세 종류의 타코와 칩스에 감사하게도 윤수 님과의 인연으로 카스에서 후원해주신 맥주를 곁들였습니다. 오후에는 tjr3164, WOOJAE, CHAMBER의 DJ 셋이 차례로 이어졌습니다.
Around 150 people visited the studio that day. With six sellers’ wares and so many new faces filling our everyday workspace, we got to experience a familiar place in a different way. Even the weather was on our side. Little did we know this would be the start of our party-hosting habit…
이날스튜디오에는약 150명이찾아왔습니다. 평소 작업하던 공간에서 다양한 물건들과 새로운 얼굴들이 모이니, 익숙한 장소를 다르게 써보는 의미있는 하루가 되었습니다. 날씨도 우릴 도왔고요. (이 날을 시작으로 파티에 중독될 줄은 아무도 몰랐죠…)
